Job Description

COMMUNITY NETWORKER ASSISTANT
Reporting through the Community Networker and to the Board as appropriate, the Community Networker Assistant will perform duties including but not limited to the following:

  1. Agreement with the objects of ANMH(F)
  2. Following the policies, procedures and bylaws of the ANMH(F)
  3. Establishing/Scheduling/Organizing/Managing the office using MS Office
  4. Establishing and Maintaining the program filing system in accordance with FOIPP and PIPA legislation
  5. Maintenance of the membership database; Development and maintenance of an agency contact database and a database of potential funders
  6. Greeting the Public and Directing them appropriately
  7. Answering the telephone and directing calls appropriately and keeping a Call log
  8. Assist the Board in the development of the Policy Binder for circulation
  9. Assisting with the newsletter publication schedule and design within budget parameters
  10. Assisting with the preparation of materials, informing members/public of events as appropriate, and the coordination of public presentations, display tables, workshops, conferences, mailers, posters, pamphlets, ad campaigns, press releases, mall displays, and mental health consumer training materials as directed within time and budget parameters
  11. Assisting in the preparation of reports and RFPs to funding bodies
  12. Processing and/or drafting/and or routing routine email, facsimile and paper correspondence; Faxing, Photocopying, scanning and printing
  13. Maintenance and monitoring of inventory of office equipment and supplies
  14. Purchasing of office supplies within budget parameters
  15. Booking appropriate spaces for ANMH activities and any travel arrangements, again observing budget parameters and accommodation needs
  16. Working with the accountant and treasurer to set up a system of financial record keeping, facilitating the accounting of the organization using generally accepted accounting principles, and the preparation of cheques for signature by the Board Directors
  17. Preparation of the Board Meeting Materials and the Maintenance of the Minutes
  18. Assistance of statistic maintenance of calls, volunteer hours, web stats etc.
  19. Though we are not a crisis service, such calls do come and we ask that employees also take SPTP through CMHA
  20. Other duties, as assigned.
